This is really a courtesy post of an issue I was having ( https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/24/869588? )… HD project with M2T files kept hanging during render… I thought the issue was the intensity of the M2T files.. So I used the Cineform Connect HD to convert files to .avi… It worked for the render process however when I tried to change any files my media clips turned red and crashed vegas…

Anyway, make a long story short, I changed the dynamic ram preview memory allocation to “0”… Fixed all my issues… I knew it probably wasn’t because of my system not being able to handle the file or the intensity of the M2T files… Just upgraded to Dell Precision 390 (2Gb Ram; QX6700 Quad Core Extreme)… So anyway, just a tip on how to help Vegas not rape your powerhouse workstation by allocating memory to something that is not really needed during the render process…

Much thanks to an ancient post that aided me in this discovery… : ) https://hdsource.highlydef.com/2004/12/hdv-editing-workflow-on-pc.html
