M100 won’t let me place 720p 24 clip on 720p 23.98 timeline
I shoot some footage at 720p 24 on an HPX 170. I import the P2 footage to M100. No problem, the clips will all play in the edit window. But when I open a new program at 720p 23.98 and try to drag the clip from the bin to the program time line, I get the message “Can not place HD 720p 59.94 fps clips into a HD 720p 23.98 program.”
Why does M100 think my clips are 720p 59.94 footage? Unless I am losing it, I shot this at 720p 24.
If I set up a new program timeline at 720p 59.94, I can drag all my clips into the timeline with no problem. I don’t get it. Somehow, I know I am going to be embarassed by the simple answer to this, but I can take it. -

Unless you shot 24Pn, you are at 59.94, which is why that footage wants to be in a 59.94 timeline. 24 P and 24 Pn are different in that with 24Pn you have actually recorded only those 24 frames. With 24P the additional frames are actually recorded into the 59.94 stream, but flagged. That is why you get additional record times on you P2 cards when you are recording 24Pn.
