    Hi

Anyone got an opinion on quality of M100 M-JPEG codec versus standard DV?

Digitising from a DVCAM deck via firewire is M_JPEG better or worse than DV in FCP for example?

Presumably the DV codec is a bit for bit copy of what’s on the tape and M-JPEG is doing some re-encoding?

Is 360KB (PAL) necessary when capturing from DVCAM or DV?

And just to complicate things further, I have herd some people say that the YUV input into M100 gives better results than firewire – can’t see it myself…

    Your thoughts appreciated.

    Andy
