M100 HDx & AE conflict question
Hello looking for a little help please.
I’m running Media100 HDx v 10.1.3 – After Effects pro v6.5 – Quicktime 7.1.3.
In the last week or so I’ve been unable to run both at the same time. ie. have both programs open and jump back and forth from M100 time line to AE project. I’ve been able to do this pretty much since this system was installed and now i’m not sure why its not working.
If I open AE first and then try to open Media 100 I get an error that the M100 hardware is not installed and that I should run the diagnostic.
If M100 is open I can open AE just fine, but then trying to go back to M100 with AE still open, I get a M100 error stating the hardware is in use by another program.
Possibly another piece of the puzzle… The video out preview in AE has quit working. I used to be able to see an NTSC output while working in AE. Yes, the HDx video out is still installed and set up in the AE prefs.
Just hoping for a little help before I go uninstalling and reinstalling apps.

quick update, I’ve found that if I turn off the video preview in AE prefs I can have both AE and M100 open and swap between them just fine.
Now I just want to find out why my Video preview quit working.
