  M100 8.2.3a won’t launch

  I’ve posted about this before and thought it was a one off, solved by trashing the prefs, but it seems to be a more serious issue with 8.2.3a. I’m getting this error message: “Could not start the application because an error of type – 30870 occurred” and Media 100 won’t launch. It seems to happen after using AFX 7 though not always.

  I have a FW boot disc with a system backup and M100 8.2. If I boot from this M100 will then launch – it’s a work around but far from ideal. If I then change back to my usual boot disk M100 8.2.3a will then launch OK. Very odd!

  I’ve done all the usual things including re-installing 8.2.3a rebuilding directories etc. Has anyone else experienced this? OS is 10.4.6 on G4 1.25 DP
