i working with fcp 5 in tiger and just bought m-audio firewire 1814 to connect to speakers m-audio via xlr to rca. the g5 had major problems and the sound would play sometimes and then not. fcp had memory problems ( i have 8gb dual ghz) and so on. now i try to go analog out of the cpu into the m audio via mini to rca. no sound.
    any ideas?

    thanks

Do you have any other Firewire devices connected to the G5? If so, there may be a conflict. How did you monitor FCP before the m-audio?

I have the m-audio 1814 and a 2011 12-core mac. The m-audio box plays pandora excellent. But it does not work in FCP.
