  lumetri not automatic in color workspace

  I’ve been trying to figure this out for days. I just updated to premiere 12.1.2 and when i switch to the color workspace lumetri is no longer automatic. i have to drag and drop the effect on to my clip in the timeline where as before it was automatically applied when switching to the color workspace. Anybody else experiencing this or know how to make it so that the lumetri tool is automatically applied when switching to the color workspace?
