When I export my DV sequences to Quicktime in Final Cut Pro HD, the files have a different luminance range. The blacks get raised and the overall picture is lighter. When I A/B between my Quicktime file and my Final Cut Pro Sequence there is a big difference. These files are being sent to a DVD authoring facility that uses PC’s. Is Final Cut compensating for video Gamma when it plays its video? How can I make sure that the DVD house is getting the true colors I calibrated in the original sequences? They told me on their scopes the blacks are higher from my exports than the readings I get from my original sequence. What can I do?

Well… are you working in DV?

There is a video processing tab that includes RGB and YUV. Switch out of RGB
