    Hi,

I’m trying to pull a matte from a nice even white b.g. using luma key in FCP7.

The matte layer (a still photo) occasionally bleeds through the subject’s eye reflections & bright teeth. Otherwise it keys perfectly.

Any suggestions on how to correct this? I’m pretty sure is has to do with garbage matte/rotoscoping or a reverse mattes but my experience in this particular area is nil.

I am only working with FCP7, no other post-software installed on this Mac. Thanks!

Just make an empty video layer in between the existing layers, try putting your matte there. It won’t have to be very precise that way, just cover the same general area as teeth and eyes.

    Hi Mark,
Can you please explain this in a bit more detail?
    Thanks
