lp record scratch effect
I don’t know whether this is something I have to generate, or whether I can just obtain this somewhere.
I need a sound effect of a record scratching as somebody roughly picks up the needle arm. It’s sort of a ratchety sound. Is this something I have to generate from the piece of music I’m rudely interrupting, or could I slap this effect on anything?

Now that I’ve heard the effect, I’m getting greedier.
Is there any way, using Soundtrack, for example, to generate the effect so it emerges right out of a piece of music? I’d like the effect to ramp up a couple octaves to make it seem as if it’s really coming from the recording that precedes it.

“Sure.
No need for Soundtrack (unless you just WANT to use it.)
Just CUT the “record zip” IN on your audio track at the same time that you CUT OFF the music track.
You can change the octave of the “zip” if you want, but I don’t think that will be necessary.
Adjust the volume level of the effect to give maximum effect.
