    hey,

Im was wandering what the best way to renderout lower-thirds(textblocks with names and animation on footage), to put on clips in FCP.
    FCP: PAL CCiR6001 16/9 footage.
    AEF: PAL DV1 withscreen 16/9.

    Thanks

    Peace

Render out as a Quicktime Animation file, millions of colors+ (so you have the alpha channel).

You can then put them straight into an FCP timeline, although you may have to render depending on the codec you’re using in FCP.

This is just my workflow suggestion:
you want to stay flexible when editing.
Create your lower third movies in AE but do not place your text on thim in AE. Bring them into your FCP project as movies and use LiveType, Motion or any of FCP’s fully capable text systems.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Also, if you used transfer modes in the super (Overlay for the base, normal for the text, etc.)… They will carry over to Final Cut, BUT… you will need to render each layer separately depending upon the Transfter Mode (you can render them WITH the transfer mode in AE as long as it’s over a clear background – it’ll show up as normal in the movie). Bring in each movie and apply a the same Transfer Mode in FInal Cut.

    Hope this helps,
