I apologize in advance since I have searched this question in previous dates and have found useful answers, but I really just want to make sure so I can supply the editor with the correct animations.

He is working on an Avid. I’m working in NTSC D1 Widescreen (1:2)and rendering it out using the Avid Meridien Compressed

When I import the footage, it tells me that it is lower field first. SO should I render it back out as Lower Fireld first?
What if I pre-render it? Pre-render lower field, than lower field again when final render?

For graphics, with alpha, or straigth. Does it matter if I just use no field? Or should I stick with lower?

    Thanks so much!
