  • Low rez transcoded AMA clip offline – can I batch it?

    Hi everyone,

    Stumped on this one.

I’ve got 28:1 transcoded XDCam-EX footage cut into various sequences. 1 clip (low rez) has gone offline. It looks like the actual MXF media is gone. If this was tape I would just batch capture over the original clip and everything would come back online in all the sequences. How can I accomplish with AMA?

If I relink the sequence and transcode off of that, it makes another .new (.new.02). I need it to directly replace the original .new (.new.01) so the clip comes back in every sequence.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Find the original AMA Master Clip.

Transcode it to whatever res you want.

Now find the offline transcoded master clips -.new(new.01) and relink it, pointing at the drive that media is on. If the media created in step two matches the source file and timedode then it will relink and any sequences referencing it will update.
