On the Arri website, there are several available downloadable look files, including the LCC (Low Contrast Curve), which is downloadable as an XML. What I am trying to do is use the LCC as a lookup table in Da Vinci Resolve instead of Rec 709. Is there a way to import the LCC.xml to Da Vinci and then export the footage with this look?

Not sure it can be done within Resolve but you can create a LUT from the LCC.xml using the online ARRI LUT Generator. Go to the Look tab of Load Preset to upload the .xml

You have probably worked this out already, but my method for doing this is using LiveGrade. Basic or Pro works, and you can do this via the free trail as well. No need for a LUT box either. Just start a new look, and all you need to do is go into the “Preset” dropdown under the 3D LUT section. Go to “ARRI”, and select the LogC–>Rec 709 (LCC) option. Apply the update to a single look, then save the grade as a .DAT 3D LUT. Then import into resolve, and you’re all set.

You need to have a basic understanding of livegrade, but that can be done in minutes 🙂

This method can also be used for any of LiveGrade’s presets, and can be very useful, as their delogs tend to be pretty solid for general purpose stuff.

    Cheers.
