I just upgraded my system to a Dual quad 2.8 with Intensity Pro card. Previous system was a G5 with an SD Decklink Extreme. It seems that the audio from the Intensity card is much lower than the Extreme.

Is this because I’m going from a balanced signal to unbalanced? Nothing else in my signal flow changed–I’m in the same channels on my external mixer–it’s just that the Intensity signal seemed padded way down.

Is there a way to boost the output on the card. I’ve looked at the system preference pane for the Intensity and I don’t see anything. I do see what looks like a “settings” button, but clicking on it does nothing.

A little lower wouldn’t be too big of a deal, but I’m going to have to add a lot of gain in a lot of places to get a decent level for recording to beta.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi David,

This is completely expected. The DeckLink Extreme card’s audio output at +4dB. The Intensity Pro’s analog audio output is -10dB.
