Can you help someone who is audio challenged? Is there a way to boost the audio levels coming from my mini dv deck into FCP5 via firewire? Something in preferences? (And no, I don’t have a mixer yet, just straight from firewire) I don’t see any options in the capture window for raising or lowering the audio levels.

I’ve got a tape with great audio levels on playback, but when I bring it in to FCP, they are showing up super-low. I’m going to try adjusting the AUPeakLimiter with audio on the timeline, but before I do that, I’m wondering if FCP has a way to boost the levels at the time of capture.

    Best regards,
    Scott

No, you can’t. This is file transfer. You’re moving data from the tape into your hard drive.

    All the best,

    Tom
