Hi folks, i need big help on this one, cause im searching for this problem for a long time, but i wasnt able to solve it. The problem is the following:
A collegue of mine received a Firestore HDD from a cameraman and was asked to copy the footage to another HDD to free the space on the Firestore. The problem is he JUST copied the *.mxf files, without the proper Folder structure and xml files!!! I don’t know if he did a reorganise P2 on the Firestore (i suppose he did not!) So i was not able to import the mxf files into FCP.

Someone told me it’s possible to re-create those *.xml files to tell FCP what is audio/video and belongs together (Is this right?) I did open an *.xml file but wasn’t able to tell what has to be replaced in order to make it work? Anyone an idea/input on this ?

Or is there maybe a software solution that is able to “stitch” the video + audio together without the xml ?

    Thanks for any help!

    Steve.
