    Hey Guys,
I’m working on Avid 8.2 through the monthly subscription.
Ive been working all morning on a sequence and I went to duplicate it.
When I did, the duplicated sequences reverted to the way it was when I started the day. When I went back to the sequence that I tried to duplicate, it too had reverted back to the way it was when I started.
When I tried to open an earlier bin from the Avid attic, they too had not saved any of the work.
Ive never heard of this happening before.
Please let me know if this can be fixed.
    Thanks,
    -Adam

Did you get an access violation or other error earlier? Sometimes even when you’re able to click through the error messages, Avid will stop saving. It’s best practice to just restart Avid after errors. Other than that, a lock file (either legitimate or a “phantom lock”) would make it so you couldn’t save. But in that case, Avid would at least notify you that you couldn’t.

I dont recall if I got an error message.
If I did, its likely I would have just ignored it and worked through.
    I’ll never do that again.
Thanks so much for the tip.

You probably duplicated your sequence without loading it into the Record Monitor. Happens to me all the time. Search your bins for any copy of the sequence that you actually reworked.
