lost video signal to DV deck
I have lost the firewire signal from my computer to my DV deck. I still have video if previewed in my computer monitor, but when I switch to “preview to external monitor” the computer screen preview goes black (as it should) but there is only that bright blue (no signal) on my DV deck LCD.
Just before the problem: all seemed normal as I “selectively pre-rendered” all my video (7 minute program) and then selected “print video to DV tape”. All was normal except the screen was blue – no video to DV deck.

I have transferred video from my DV deck into my computer to make a DVD and the connection was fine. Therefore, I think the problem is not the computer.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I’ve got a customer wanting their program and I cannot get it out of my computer.

Gary, to answer your question, I’m still trying to master Vegas 4.
The problem turned out to be in the DV deck. Somehow, the input signal got switched (while I was looking out the window).
