Lost .veg files
Hi…my computer wasnt working OK so i had to format it. i backed up in dvds all of my videos from vegas and the vegas files .veg.
my computer was back on and i copied the files from the dvd to the PC, but when i tried to open the .veg files it wouldnt open!
i use sony vegas 5.0, is there any way that i can get back my projects???

It says “An error ocurred while opening the file projetc.veg, The file is an unsupported format”
when i copied the files into the dvds i tested them before deleting them from my pc and they worked, but now they dont! i tried to open them in other 2 computers and still doesnt work.
when i check the file properties i can see its all there because of the file size, so i dont know whats wrong

I’m afraid I don’t have an answer for you. If you’ve copied all the relevant media from the DVD to the hard drive, and are sure you’re not stepping back from a newer version of Vegas to an older version…this would be a tech support call, I think.

If you can upload the file somewhere (no need to include the media) some of us can try to open it in Vegas and see if it works for us.
