We have two stand alone Xpress Pro 5.8 systems. I captured all the material to an external G-Raid drive and edited on one system. Then I disconnected that external drive to bring to the other system. I believe I had saved all data to the drive, but when I plugged into the 2nd system, the “rendering” effect that I had done was no longer there and I had to rerender the footage. Are those effects automatically stored on the CPU and not on the G-Raid?

    Any help would be appreciated.

It’s probably on the C: drive. You can change that in settings under media creation. Once you get there (I’m not in front of a machine, so I can’t remember exactly the terminology), look for the render and change it to your external. Make sure you do it on both machines.

You also have the option of choosing where your render goes when you render the effect.

Finally, you can drag the media from the media files folder on the C: drive, and put it in your external.
