Lost Project Files
I’ve got Final Cut 10.2.2
I was working on projects that I transferred from one library to a new Library because the disc I saved the original library to ran out of space. So I was editing on a new disc with a terabyte of space. The background transfer of the project and files was signalled as having been completed. I had closed FCX and opened it with no problem.
While working on a project the disc drive dropped a connection for some reason. I believe a loose thunderbolt connection. And FCPX asked me to close the library. It offered no other choice but to Check Again, which it would not do despite the disc being connected again and available in finder.
So I closed the library and reopened it to find all project files and all media missing.
The library package appears to be intact in finder. However FCPX refuses to open any of the contents.
The media in the library appear to be links to the original media on the other disc rather than media that has transferred to that library.
The CurrentVersionFCP.event files appear to be there. I assume that’s where the project files are.
Is there anyway of getting FCPX to recognise any of these?
This is a very serious glitch in FCPX if cannot be remedied.
