Lost project files, with lots of media
Hi. My C:Drive has crash with my Avid project files on. My media however is all on external drives and is running fine. Is there a way I could start a new project or link/import media.

Yes, open a new project, open the “media tool”. Select “master clips” and the media drives. You will get a window with all of your master clips in it. Just drag these to a new bin and you are ready to go.
For the future, backup often.
More importantly, keep your projects on another drive than your “C” drive. Avid defaults to the “C” drive with the “attic” contains the most reason versions of your bins. If your projects were on another drive and it died, you would still have the attic to bail you out.
