This is not the standard Vegas question but I’m really hoping someone can help.
I did a shoot today using a Sony HXR-MC1 camera. Before I downloaded the video ti my HD I changed the name of the events. I was distracted and before I knew it the video was not recognized. I can still see the thumbnails on the camera but apparently the “index” is gone and when I go into the “stream” folder nothing shows up.
How can I download all this footage or is it gone for ever?

It sounds like you may have deleted the files by mistake. I would get an “unerase” program and see if you can recover the files. A good free one is Piriform Recuva.
