Anybody know why when I upgraded my AJA Kona LHe software it reset my keyboard to default mode and cleared out all my effects favorites in Final Cut Pro?

When you load new drivers, your fcp prefs are trashed which resets your keyboard and clears fav effects.

Thanks, Jeremy. So, what is the work around next time? Can I save my prefs out on the desktop and replace new reset ones after loading drivers. Or is there no way to still use the old prefs with the new drivers. Or is there a way to just save my fav effects as a file that can be reloaded?

As far as your keyboard, you can save that as a keyboard layout.

And favorite effects, you can make a project of them, and put the effects on a slug in a timeline. You can then drag the slug to the browser and rename the slug with that effect(s). It’s not pretty or very elegant, but at least they will be saved.

Yes, I do have keyboard saved. But, that’s a good thought on the effects slug. Thanks.
