    Lost Codec?

    Hello,

    Just last week I was using clips from my camera:

    MPEG-2 Video, Linear PCM, Timecode MOV

    and suddenly I can no longer open them in Quicktime nor FCP. I also cannot view them in the finder preview. However if I use VLC they play back fine but obviously this won’t help me.

    I don’t know if this is from an update or somehow it was lost.. Should I try to reinstall FCP??

    People have been having trouble with QT movies after the iTunes 10.5 update. Might start researching there.

    I am facing the same problem. It’s so frustrating.
    I cannot edit or export my timeline on fcp because of these clips.

    Any solutions?
