lost avchd files, looking for best archiving technique with prores files
I’ve recently joined a small production company that had a rather unorganised workflow and archiving system, around 8TB’s that wasn’t managed. When I started it was a bit of a jungle and slowly I’m getting it back to a nicely landscaped garden but there still remains some big weeds and overgrown bushes left.
I have been archiving the AVCHD files from old projects and deleting the prores files knowing I can use log and transfer to bring projects back online, but some projects don’t have the AVCHD files anymore and only the prores files remain.
I am looking for the best solution to archiving these prores files into the smallest space. Is there anyway to compress them down or is it just a case of transfering all the proress files onto an external drive and making a copy? Is there another solution? Can you help make my garden look nice again?
Not sure if this kinda question is fitting for this forum as its my first post here so apologies if its not.
Sorry, there were no replies found.
