    Hello.

Running FCPX 10.4.8, OS 10.15.3 on 2019 iMac.

Have been running the above configuration without problems, but suddenly I am no longer seeing my audio waveform despite all the relevant check boxes for it being ticked. The normally blue area below the video timeline is now black with no waveform displayed although the horizontal level bar is visible and operates as expected. Audio is heard. I am able to get the correct display when booting from an earlier back up copy on an external drive, but using the internal disk and going back to an earlier date in Time Machine does not solve the problem. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance, Geoff.

Trash your cache files and let them rebuild.

Thanks for the suggestion Jeremy. I eventually found the cause of the problem, it was that Command Post had not run on boot up as normal. Command Post is required to allow the FCPX Colour Wheels to be adjusted using the Tangent Ripple and the program has a check box to enable waveform drawing

    Geoff.
