lost audio after effects vers 6
Hello.
I have lost all audio on my ae version 6, that is to say no sound and no wave form info in the time line,Ive enabled audio and just about tried everthing else,The file format Im importing is wav and these file work ok with other applications.
the wav file imports correctly and can be dragged down to the time line and displays there but that is all.
any help on this would be greatly appreaciated.regards

I assume you’ve already checked that the Audio Level for the layers are not all the way down. That would cause the problem you’re describing.
Can you play other audio clips in AE or are these the only ones you are having trouble with?
Since you said the clips work in other apps, you could try to export them in a different format such as AIFF and see if that works.
As a last resort you can try to hold down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT as you open AE. That will reset AE’s preferences to default.

Yes thats done also enabled audio.
Cant play any audio at all,
Ive reset to default and its still the same-good tool though for future reference.R
