  • Losing Video When I Insert

Posted by Ted Ryan on June 9, 2010 at 2:51 pm

    Hi Guys,

I am sure I am making a simple error and I’ve unknowingly clicked on a command in Final Cut.

However, when I try to drag a clip from my clip window into the INSERT OPTION (the yellow icon on my timeline window), I get only the audio but no video in my Sequence.

Any idea what I might have done?

I also notice that when I drag a clip from my timeline window directly onto the Sequence, it seems to default to only bringing in the audio as well.

    Thanks you for your time.
    Ted.

You have to connect the V1 video tab on the left side of your sequence to the corresponding video track. You connect it by clicking on it.

Or, your video track might be locked.
