I am working on a Mac Power PC G4, DP 1 Ghz, 2 GB ram, w/ GeForce4 Ti 4600. I have a problem with FCP becoming stuck and unable to refresh the video information correctly when I scrub or single frame advance/reverse on the timeline. It plays fine when rendered and playing “real time.” When scrubbing / toggling I won’t see what should be displayed on a frame-by-frame basis, and toggling back and forth using the single frame arrow keys will give me conflicting information. I thought that I had solved this by making sure that I wasn’t using any odd codecs, just animation or DV NTSC.
    – I reduced playback quality to 50%
    – I tossed my prefs to see if that might clean it up, but it remains the same.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas?

    thanks-

Make sure that you are running the latest OS (10.3.8) QuickTime 6.5.2 and FCP HD in tandem for starters…
