losing velocity envelope with build 486 of Vegas 12
Posted by Jean-pierre Taran on February 23, 2013 at 12:43 amAfter updating to build 486 of SVP12, I lose the velocity envelopes applied to clips in previous projects and I fail to reinstate them.
Any fix to suggest? Thanks in advance.Graham Bernard replied 13 years, 2 months ago 3 Members · 6 Replies -

Well, almost. It’s “show envelopes” that wasn’t ticked.
Now it workd great

Oh, you had “other” Envelopes not appearing? I was focussed on your original question about Velocity Envelopes not appearing.

It would have been the Default install that didn’t, automatically, given you “back” the Envelopes. Consequently, you might want to drill through “other” settings that you are assuming would still be in place, and they aren’t – yeah? I often forget to make sure my VST folder has been updated too! You might also want to view your Temp Directory and some of the other folders too.

February 28, 2013 at 10:42 pmThanks Graham, that was a useful tip. Is there a lazy way to control that old settings are properly copied during the upgrade, say when I move over to SVP 13 (assuming I am not superstitious) when it comes out?
It’s pretty tedious to check everything.

February 28, 2013 at 11:13 pmAt this level I’ve always had to “set” my own preferences. Thinking about this, these settings would be part of a Factory install. So, no. However, our Windows Layouts transfer over.
