Losing Generated Text when & pasting to another project
I’m just getting into Vegas 9.0a but am having some problems. When I copy and paste an event of generated text into another Vegas (9.0a) project it shows up on the timeline ok, but not in the Project Media list. When I save and close the project, then re-open it, I get an error message that “the project file is missing one or more media list elements”. When I look at the text event on the timeline it’s completely blank. Any thoughts on why this is happening? I’m used to doing this all the time with no problems in Vegas 7.

Hi Mike, Thanks for trying. I hope I can get this figured out because I do a lot of copy and pasting from on project to the next. If anyone else out there has a thought I’d love to hear it.

FYI-I reloaded my Vegas 9.0 software and the problem was solved. Then I upgraded to the new version (9a) and the problem returned. Reverted back to 9.0 and no problem. Seems my machine doesn’t like the upgrade.

Dave, file a report with Sony Tech Support as this shouldn’t be happening.
Having said that, I’ve read reports of other strange bugs with text in Pro 9.0a so you’re not the only one with problems 🙁 -
