  • Losing audio track on insert

For some odd reason — and it could be a total oversight on my behalf — when I do an insert to the canvas, the subclip drops one audio track. There are only 2 tracks in the show and all otheres have come in fine and yes, the two tracks are there in the viewer (stereo).

Is this a QT bug and I have to re-import it or am I doing something hairbrained? Thanks.

    Odd.

First thing that comes to mind is maybe you hit an Fkey and number key that turns off your audio patch.

Dbl check to see than indeed you have BOTH audio patches connected where you want the audio to drop on… in… at (gah). Make sense?

That’s def where the problem lies as there’s only one audio source tab for the 2 audio tracks in the timeline. Might I have lost one in the rendering/mixdown? FYI, this proj. was output already and now 2 clips have to be reinserted. I’ve tried to remap my keyboard in expose but even turning off the defualt F keys doesn’t help.

Ok… what that tells me is that what you have in the viewer at that given time has only one audio track.

    Do a test…

Load other clips… or even better yet… load a SEQUENCE that you KNOW has at least two audio tracks and see what happens there.

But without seeing a screenshot of your audio tab I have to take your word that there is a stereo pair… but I’m just not feelin’ it.
