    hi there folks

I’m losing audio sync when ram previewing in ae7. It sucks the big one.

I zoom into my timeline, eyeball my waveform, place my layers and keyframes where I perceive the appropriate parts of the waveform are, I hit the period on the keypad to preview the upcoming audio to double check, all looks good, I zoom out, do a ram preview and everythign hits in the WRONG place and even the f***ing waveform looks drastically different when I’m zoomed out.

I usually do all my cuts to music in an NLE but I’m sure I’ve done this in AE before and it wasn’t this flaky…

I’m using an mp3 for my audio, I usually use wavs or aiffs, but I can’t think why that would make much of a difference.

    thanks in advance

my machine specs if it matters are thus:

P4 3.0Ghz, 2GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro NVS 280 64MB RAM (yes I know it’s a card for accountants, but times are hard…:P), Soundblaster Audigy soundcard.
