losing audio sync in playback through iohd
help, drifting audio sync in playback. Have tried adjusting off set in fcp prefs and reinstalling software and updating firmware, no success
my set up:
fcp 6.0.6
macbook pro 2.4ghz 2007
pci siig firewire express card 34 (for the iohd)
firewire 800 mac (for the media drives gtech 2 x 1tb raid)
Tx monitor: sony lmd 2050w with sdi card
ref: aja gen10 hd/sd sync generatorany ideas?

I would put your drives on the Express Card and the ioHD on your laptops fw800 bus.

I assume you have downloaded the 6.0.1 drivers for the I/O HD. Is this correct ?
#1 follow Jeremy’s advice
#2 – when you lose sync, do you only lose sync when you scrub the timeline, or is it simply when playing back media ?In FCP, go to system settings/playback tab, and turn off hi quality scrub (I think thats the menu name).

swapping the iohd onto the mac bus seemed to do the trick. Thanks for responding Bob
