Los Angeles HDCam digitize?
Hey guys,
Any suggestions where I can get HDCam footage digitized Prores today in Los Angeles (preferably the west side) that won’t cost an arm and a leg? I have about 3 hours of tape.

There is a great place right on the Cahuenga Pass called Shapeshifter. Not on the westside, but probably cheaper than a bigger house.

They have several FCP bays, I have done some work there, they are great.

Another one on the Cahuenga pass…Tree Falls 323.851.0299. Ask for Mike or D.D. Tell them I recommended you. They have HDCAM decks and a FCP bay with a Kona 3.
Also Alpha Dog in Burbank…no number. But try Tree Falls first.

I had made an appt with them first and, although it was cheaper to use the Cahuanga places, just for our time constraints and convenience it’s easier to have it done closer to home so that my assist can pick it up on the way in tomorrow morning.
