Loosing a lot of nuance on render.
So I am working on my first real project.
I am coming from a photoshop/aftereffects back ground. With an eye for pixels. i am composing a beautiful scene using fire and smoke to illuminate some script and a figure. This using volumetric lights in an emitter. (for the smoke). It looks stunning when I “render view”.
THE PROBLEM:
When I “render to picture viewer” or “make preview”. I get something very different. Much less information and atmosphere. A lot less; to the point of not almost seeing anything. I know I am pushing things a bit with my “light out of darkness” concept but ……..The information is there somewhere.Did I mess up on my render settings? I don’t remember changing anything “important”.
I am on a mac, intel, Snow Leopard, c4d 11. I am set to 64 bit.
I am set to render :: Transparency, refraction, reflection, shadow, blurriness, auto light, textures, volumetric lighting. And; doodle, sub-poly-displnt, post-effects.
I am sure this has come up before but so far I could not find the words of wisdom I need. Thanks for any help that may be forth coming.
