How do I convert a sequence from 25fps to 24fps. When I do it I loose sync

I filmed at 25fps and then had an offer of very limited cinema distribution in the UK and possibly elsewhere. I have made a surround sound (5.1mix) and they made a 24 fps version which I understand is shorter by 4%.
The pitch has been corrected

DCP in cinemas can be 25fps so no need for a 24 frame version. If 24 is required then use Cinema Tools to change the final quicktime file from 25 to 24 which slows it by 4%. Then you need someone with the right software (eg: MPEX3, iZotope RX advanced) to change the duration by exactly 25 to 24 and correct the pitch. So you should not be changing an FCP sequence. Do it all outside of FCP.
If all that is done correctly the elements will sync perfectly. I used to do it all the time but since the DCP spec was changed a few years ago it is now OK for 24, 25, 30 and 48 frames per second with a DCP.

Thank you do very much for your information, I had no idea that the DCP could be at 25fps, and nobody told me, until you. Such a load off my mind, and a saving in thevbudget too.
