    Hi guys,

I am new to After Effects and ‘puppet’ character animation a whole. I decided to set myself up the task of creating a ‘Run Cycle’ of a character to improve. I have finished one full cycle of my character running and now I want to use the ‘loopOut’ expression to repeat the keyframes throughout my composition (instead of copy & pasting them).
The problem is every time I apply the loopOut(“cycle”) expression to the legs and arms of my character it fails to loop those keyframes throughout my composition and remains still after the first cycle of the run.
The strange part is that the body & head layer properties (position & rotation) all loop fine with the loopOut(“cycle” expression. but the legs and arm layers don’t despite the same properties have been keyframed?

Any suggestions what I’m doing wrong guys?
    Much appreciated it.

    Jake

What are the properties where it’s not working?

For anyone who might run into this problem into the future, a good way to debug this is to open the graph editor and then press “show post expression graph” right next to the equals sign that enables or disables the expression. If you are like me you might find that you have a stray keyframe way down in your comp that is making the expression not seem to work
