Are we really near CC 2017 version of the powerfull AE compositing software without a precomp loop function?

I’ve tried all suggestions and nothing seems to work for me.
Before i go nuts and burn away a couple of days on this issue i duplicate the footage inside my comp mannually for my own sanity…
    Maybe i’ll try later again.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

found something of a working solution.

tried one last time and activated the collapse transformations (asterisk like symbol on the left of the layermodes) and this works for me in conjunction with time remap and the previously mentioned loopOut expression (loopOut(type = “cycle”, numKeyframes = 0)

hope this helps all who nearly lost their sanity like me.

Oh my GOD I made an account here just to reply to this post, thank you!
The loopOut expression didn’t work for me despite all the keyframe shifting but turning on collapse transformations with the expression did the trick.

I am sorry but if adobe coders doesn’t know how to write simple sequence looping why they want it from us?
Its also software for animation right?
even flash has easy made looping – but who use flash?

    shame on adobe… shame????????

Me too! I don’t know what “Collapse Transformations” means other than “Solves weird problem that is inexplicable otherwise”

    Thanks Maarten!

Roei and Dan, you’re geniuses! This is something I couldn’t wrap my head around for years. I always did wat you describe only soon to realise that the loop was broken. I always ended up by just duplicating the layer a few times, but your timeline becomes a mess this way. Now I finally can loop the loop without blank or skipping frames!
