I have created a very simple loop of a flying bird using TimeRemap and the ‘loopOut(type = “cycle”, numKeyframes = 0)’ expression, however on the very first loop of my cycle, the last frame plays black. The rest of the cycle works fine without interruption so I have the option to move the in point of the composition to mask this anomaly, but I was wondering if I there was a neater way to get around the problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

Create a new keyframe one frame back from the last time-remapping keyframe. Change the value of the last keyframe to zero. That should help.

Dan Uses a loop expression in his tut “Animating a Walk cycle”:

or click on Dans’ head and scroll down thru his tuts.

Loops are explained in the first section. Download the project file, it comes with a loop comp named “intro” and shows examples of the various loops and of loopy pitfalls to avoid.
