I have a customer that wants a video on dvd to play at a trade show. I put it on a dvd using DVD-A-v4 but he has to keep pushing the start button every time it finishes playing, to play it again. He wants to be able to start it once, and have it keep playing the same video over and over. I presume it will take some sort of looping, which I thought might be done through playlists? Anyway, I couldn’t get it to loop. How can I set up a loop so that he only has to start the video from the menu once, and when it is at the end of the video it will go back and start from the beginning … over and over. Step by step instructoins please. Thanks.

    Two ways:

On the DVD player, turn on the LOOP function

In DVD Architect, set the “End Action” to point to that same clip so it’ll start over

Thanks Edward, I will give the second one a try. They say their DVD player does not have a repeat function, of course I don’t know if they have looked for anything that might be labeled “loop function”. I will ask, but the second way should do the trick.

Edwrd if you’re still around, I have played with this over and over and still can’t figure it out. Could you go step by step for me? I opened the software, inserted the video I want to loop. Went to the properties and found where it says end action, but can’t seem to find how to make it “point”. Thanks…

    1. File – New – Single Movie – pick the video file
    2. On the “Media Properties” on the right, click on “End Action”
    3. Change the “Destination” to the name of the video file. It’s a drop down box and should be the only option besides “Most Recent Menu”

Now when you prepare the DVD, it will play forever (or until ejected) automatically upon insertion.
