    Hi,
I’ve been using Encore for three days now, I’ve seen few tutorials how to use it properly and I burnt 2 menu DVDs so far without any problems… till now. I made very, very simple menu with one button. In preview everything seems to be perfect but every time I burn it into DVD, it plays only the looping point from menu instead of whole menu. I really don’t understand what I’m doing wrong, on preview everything plays perfectly! Can anyone help me with this one please?

    Many Thanks,
    Magdalena

Is the menu set to “First Play”? If not, how do you link to it? Do you have any overrides set?

What type of asset are you using for the motion background?

Thank you for getting back to me!

The menu is very simple, created in After Effects. Despite button and actual video there is nothing else I added. All I did was just link it all up. First Play is linked up to Menu, and video loops after 7 seconds of the intro. That’s about it (standard, very simple menu :)) Preview seems to work fine, I burnt it 6 times using different DVDs (first time I was using cheap ones and thought it could cause the problem) but still same thing is going on. Re-creating menu didn’t help as well.

I took two sills from encore, maybe that would help to get an idea what I’m doing wrong 🙂

I don’t see anything wrong in the screenshots that you posted.

Based on what I saw in the screenshots, the menu loops at 8 seconds, not 7 seconds.

Try extending the total length of the video from After Effects by a few seconds. Give the video a new name when you export. Link the menu Video and Audio to the new, longer video.

Build using an RW disc so you don’t waste any blank discs.
