I am currently designing some graphics for an award show that need to loop continuously for about an hour. The cient has asked that I provide them with a menu driven DVD containing the video segments that are to be looped. Rather than create a video file that is an hour long, how can I have my video file loop seemlessly when activated from the DVD?

I imagine there would be some sort of lag or skip when the video tried to loop?

Can anyone shed some light on how this could be done?

    Eric,

Creating a looping title is usually pretty easy, but the exact ‘how-to’ will vary depending on the authoring application used. Typically all that is required is a link from the end of the segment back to the beginning. It will then continue to play until somebody presses stop or accesses a menu.

There will be a pause while the DVD player recues to the start of the segment. Just exactly what this will look like depends on the animation and the player being used. One suggestion would be to edit the animation loop into a 1-2 minute segment. That length would recue less often while still taking very little in terms of disc space.

    Hope this helps.
