  • looping a fan sound?

Posted by Nelson May on November 19, 2008 at 4:47 am

If I can’t record the sound of a floor or table fan, I am going to try and find an .aif loop. I have never seamlessly looped a sound. I have pro tools, sound track pro 1 and garageband as well as reason 3.0.

Any pointers on looping a sound seamlessly into a longer file?

Hello Nelson and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum,

Use as long a piece as you can and zoom in to find the 0 crossover point and make it work so you don’t hear a tick at the loop point.

zoom in till you see the loop edit point. Adjust the borders so the waveform is not jagged at the edit point.
