looping
Posted by Kelly Johnson on November 21, 2005 at 11:56 pmHave a 6 second file created in AE. How do I make a seamless loop without getting a ‘blink’ between the end and the new start?

November 22, 2005 at 2:37 amThe trick is to make sure that the loop ends on the frame before you return to the original values.
E.G.: if you set a keyframe with a value of 1 at 0:00 and again at 0:09 and a keyframe in the middle with the value of 5, the frame values will interpolate to
1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2 1
so when it loops it goes
1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2 1 1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2 1 1
and so on. The trick is to end the loop at 0:08 so that the next frame in the interpolation sequence will be the value at the start of the loop:
1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2
will loop as
1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2 1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2 1 etc.Jim Kanter,
