Loop Portion of AVI
Hi guys,
Im up against a deadline, and I have an important question. I have an AVI file im outputting that will go on a DVD. An animation plays, the elements fall on screen, and then I want it to loop, but only the ending portion (not the beginning part). Is there a way to tell an AVI to loop at specific points? (This is a video that will be played….it is not part of the DVD menu) Im using adobe Premiere to output the DVD.

You will have to author the DVD in a real authoring program like Adobe Encore. Then you can use the end action to loop. The beginning will be one clip, and the ending another. The second clip will go back and play the beginning when it ends.
Premiere Pro allows you to write to a DVD for convenience. It is not designed to do anything more than get a clip to DVD.

So split the clips up? Will there be a noticeable delay between the two?
Also, I need to have multiple looping clips on the same DVD…is this impossible?

I don’t understand. If it is a continuous loop, how can there be more than one? When would it stop? If you mean that you would hit the menu key and make it stop that way, it can be done.
And there can be a slight delay between clips. But as far as I can tell there is no way to automatically replay the last chapter of a video. Not without making it a separate clip.

Hey I just finished a dvd tonight in encore, and there is a noticable pause on 4 out of 5 of my menu loops. Loops point set at 00:00 do I need to set loop point a few frames in?
