I’ve made some DVDs with “non-DV AVIs” captured from my system screen, sometimes having slower frame rates (15 fps) and non-standard sizes (altough I resize them on Vegas).
I notice that render times (to DVD-mpeg2) increase HUGE with these files…is there something missing?
    What can I do ?

By using odd framerates and odd sizes, you are requiring a ton of processing to get back to the standard size and framerates. That is the cause of your long rendering times. What can you do? Stick with the standard DV-AVI files instead.

OR you can render the non-conforming video in another program then bring them into Vegas timneline as DV. It has been my experience that this is usually much quicker than having Vegas do the conversion. I use Premiere to do this all the time.
