    Ok here is the problem

I have a G4 with a Decklink Pro (PCI) also a G5 with a Extreme (Pcie) the G5 is attached to the Digital betacam at work and I have a SP at home …. Can I swap the looms so the Extreme YUV (RGB) can ingest or is the card specific to the loom, I really dont want to drag the sp and or the G4 into work …. as the cards are PCI and PCIe I am piggy in the middle ….

Mind you I can swap the looms but I am curious if anyone has done this before ???

    Mooooooooooooooooooooo

Both systems work with apples uncompressed 8bit or 10bit 4:2:2 codec.
You can show your material on both systems.

    Or which you mean?

    Hi Craig,

I believe the breakout cable is specific to the card and they are not interchangable.

However as Nico wisely mentioned, the files captured on one Mac can be edited and played out on the other Mac. Is there any reason why you need to move “looms” when you could just move the files on a Firewire drive between the two Macs?
